Mini recap: Unemployed Romance Episode 3

*Phew* A large heave of relief on my end. It's always tricky deciding to recap a drama and if I don't enjoy it - it's that much more of a torture. After a meh opening but an improved follow up episode, I'm so glad to find myself enjoying Episode 3 to the extent that time just flew by. Being a shallow viewer, it's no coincidence that my scale of enjoyment upped just as the romance factor kicks in. Wan Ha stakes a claim on Seung Hee's heart and not a moment too soon because Jong Dae is back!

Mini recap: Unemployed Romance Episode 2

Ah...the show is picking up nicely and I'm pleased that this episode is not as boring as the first. And I credit that to this guy!

Mini recap: Unemployed Romance Episode 1

I've almost forgotten that this short new drama is airing before receiving an invitation to review this drama a couple of days ago. Its stars Nam Gong Min who won my heart as Maru oppa in Can You Hear My Heart - him with the tortured soul and eyes. I jumped ship constantly because of him even though I know there's no way in hell he's getting the girl. Too bad his follow up dramas are not my cup of tea but I missed him on my screen so this is really good news. I'm okay with Lee Young-ah, whom I've seen in Iljimae (Lee Jun Ki version), Baker's Kim Tak Gu and Vampire Prosecutor series. She's almost always tomboyish in her roles so when the teaser for Unemployed romance dropped, I thought she looks really different and hopefully this is one project I'd really love her for.

Review: TEN 2

I love procedurals and watched both TEN and Vampire Prosecutor for both seasons. While VP had an added supernatural flavour which gives it extra spice, I'm actually a leeeetle bit fonder of the TEN series. I started off with VP then got enticed by the promotional ads for TEN during the commercial breaks of VP...and the rest is history. Both series had strong, sexy, broody male leads and a supporting cast of colourful personalities. And because this is a review on TEN, I shall try to limit my discussion to the cast of TEN.

Recap: Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek Episode 1

Yay for a slew of new dramas reporting just when I’m in the mood for a recapping change.  I’m still kinda sad School 2013 ended because I could always count on Mon-Tues for my drama fix for the past 2 months and even though I’m thoroughly enjoying FBND now(caught up to the latest episodes over the weekend), it’s not exactly crack to me. School 2013 reminded me why I like jdoramas  – the underdog settings, despite its slightly preachy content. I loved School 2013 even though there were no loveliness and every episode managed to reduce me to tears (or at least little sniffles now and then). I did browse through the latest jdorama list but nothing attracts me (I welcome any recommendations :P), but I guess it’s back to kdramas for me. Heh.

If there is one thing TGS recapping experience taught me, it’s to be brief in my recaps. I’m still upset to have dropped that project, but really I’d rather be recapping something I genuinely like. Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek seems like a drama with potential and I’m not adverse to any of the leads, so I decided to check this out to see if I’d like it. Workplace drama tends to be boring but I did enjoyed Baby-faced Beauty, so I’m keeping faith that with the advertising industry as its background, they will come up with some impressive material and wow me.

Mini-recap: The Great Seer Episode 19

Oh lord, I just realized we've only covered thirty years in our story. And there's 20 years more before the darn Purple Enclosure is supposed to work its magic, and that's like 16 episodes more. I'm sorry to have to break this, but I don't think I can continue recapping this anymore - it's just not hooking me in (it had 18 hours to convince me). It pains me to admit that I literally have to force myself to sit through an episode to come up with the recap. I may post just short summaries if I ever get around to watching the rest of the episodes, but I don't want to make a promise I can't keep, especially for those who love this drama. So I thought I might as well make my stance clear for those who are still patiently waiting for the recaps. *Mianhae* T.T

Mini-recap : The Great Seer Episode 17-18

It still surprises me to receive pleas requesting recaps for this drama, which has pretty much tanked in ratings. But since I'm already onboard this train, guess I'll just wait out the ride to its final destination.

Mini-recap : The Great Seer Episode 15-16

Ah...back after a long hiatus, still the ratings for this drama is rather low and with all the problems plaguing the production, I feel kinda bad for TGS. Since I'm way off the live schedule, I'mma just gonna summarize as I go, and maybe linger on the good parts.
